In Prison

It’s not every day that when a man goes to prison he is guaranteed he will make it out of there.  Case in point, I had a lil homie the other day that got stabbed in prison the first time he ever went to prison,  and he didn’t make it out alive. On the other side of that, I got a partna that after 35 years in prison he will be home Friday released. All this to say, even when you go to prison there is no guarantee you will make it out alive, but I thank  God every day that I did make it out alive. We as black men in America need to understand one thing about it- let prison be our last resort.
